When I worked 2nd shift, and got off work at midnight, I had a 1 hr drive home. Some parts of the year it was a nightly ordeal slamming on the brakes to avoid hitting a deer, or, a herd of deer. But sometimes it did not matter- I have swerved all the way into the opposite lane and then into the ditch and still hit the kamikaze/suicidal deer. I have had one stand in my lane on a four lane section of road and when I swerved into the other lane so did he. Or just pop out of the side of road at 50mph and boom! right in front of me! Once we got the car out the body shop on Friday and hit a deer on Monday! I agree that the insurance companies could save money and pay to eradicate them. Mark.
