I use full strength bleach, $0.99 from RK. It is diluted when I apply it with pressure washer. I also add soap, car wash, siding wash anything to add bubbles so I know bleach is coming out pressure washer. Apply it, let it dry. Usually one application is enough Pressure wash if there is grass or bugs are attached to siding.
The last house I did this year had no mold. I just applied bleach with pressure washer.
What you think is dirt, you may see it vanish with bleach, black mold. I've seen green and black mold. One time I had yellow.
I have a house that takes 4 applications, north side next to garage. I removed the outside light, thinking the light may be an attraction for bugs at night like the light in a bug zapper.
Been using bleach over 25 years and so far no siding damage. Lawn mowers do more damage, a flying rock.
This wasn't a bad year for mold. If I don't bleach every fall, I'll regret it.
Don't have to bleach aluminum siding. Have two houses with aluminum. Post back your results.
