We returned to the home of a friend and neighbor we had just laid to rest, and drank a toast to him from a twelve pack of his favorite beverage. We opened one can and left it on his porch chair. When I next drove by, it was gone.
I have spent a lot of time in old cemeteries, and plan to spend lots of time in one more. I took the photos below in a nearby family plot. On another more modern and elaborate marker in the same cemetery, "Hanchett" is inscribed with a double "t".
