Consider: if you buy a brand A appliance and it turns out to be a piece of junk, do you then buy another brand A appliance? Or do you buy brand B? Or brand C?
Deliberately making inferior products is a business model that is doomed to failure. Therefore, producing a product that is designed to fail in a short time is a sure way to lose a customer - NOT to insure a repeat sale.
