I've seen that on Ridiculousness on MTV.
On that note, I need to head out in a few minutes and see if I can find a new axle for my gooseneck flatbed. I told the story last month about a wheel bearing going out on it on the center axle when I was hauling two tractors home from a show.
I fixed it the next day. Saturday, I was hauling hay, pulled in the driveway with the third load, felt a bump, looked in the mirror and another tire and wheel was laying at the end of the driveway. Rear axle, same side. This time the whole spindle broke between the bearings. Apparently when I ran over that center wheel doing 55 with a load on, it cracked it.
