I went to the Newport hill climb and saw this Crosley car. Sometime around 1952 us kids were driving a car like this in a field, it ran out of gas. Next morning, the fence was cut and the car was gone. Never did find the car. I couldn't find any police report of it being stolen.
A few years back I went to the Newport Hill Climb and there was a Crowley just like the one we had. The owners of the car live in Plymouth Indiana. A town about 30 miles east of where it was stolen.
NO proof that was our car. Just ironic a red Crosley turned up so close to where we were living in 1952.
