Here in Manitoba they had a contest to drive a car on solar panels at 50mph across 3 provinces. this was about 15 years ago. I watched them all drive past my place and was neat to see. As far as can be done. My 2 little as in 1ft by 2ft panels will keep my trolling motor on my boat wide open all day long. If I have a vehicle with a dead battery hook it up and 1 day is good to go. each panel is 7.5 amps. Might not charge an ev much but there is definitely enough space on a car to charge that battery in a day or 2 at most. My neighbor has a complete house run off a solar panel and by the square ft I know for a fact that a 12 hour charge on the sqft of a car it would be charged.
