Doesn't have to be desolate. I got outta work last year and stopped at a gas station just down the road. It was a nasty 100 degree day. A guy was running a regular extension cord from the gas station to his car. He was screaming and cussing at someone on the phone that it was going to take a full day or better to charge his car on a regular outlet. He was thoroughly ticked. I filled my car up and was down the road within 5 minutes. I guess he discovered the closest fast charging station was 30 miles away.
