i dont know how the pump is driven on these ,.. but if it is belt driven the belt must be tight or it will hesitate and jump just as u say. plus oil level must be checked with cyl's retracted , not extended. other wise u shoot oil everywhere once it is returning to tank. the accumulater is like a cushion and helps in the lifting.
