We mow hay with a New Holland 479 haybine. Weve had it for years and years. Last winter I replaced 2 universal joints on the driveshaft. Everything has been fine. I forgot dad was cutting 2 years ago and split one of the yokes farther back on the shaft. He had the neighbor next to the farm weld the yoke back together. This guy is real handy. A liscensed electrician, and makes his living working for local farmers on their buildings and equipment. Well brother was cutting hay tonight and his fix finally let loose. Hopefully I can take it to the local case/IH dealer tomorrow and find some parts. I forgot about the repair and should have replaced the yoke. Nice weather for hay now, but its spotty. Hope they have the parts so we can get these 2 fields cut !
