You have touched on similar feelings. I have two tractors, a Farmall A created in 1944, and mostly restored. It is in good condition, known in our club as Holy Smoke, because I am a retired cleric, and it smoked briefly when I first started it (from all the penetrating oil in cylinders). My other project tractor is a 1942 Farmall M that could benefit from a stay in a tractor hospital. It sat for twenty years in front of a restaurant as a town mascot for the business.
