The centrifugal advance may be locked up or toast. With the rotor on, cap off, ignition off, Rotate the rotor in the direction of rotation. It should move under increasing spring pressure several degrees, maybe 18 or so (don't know the spec.) if it does not turn, or turns and stays, or turns the opposite way, the advance is likely an issue. It will be behind the breaker plate. Jim
