Well it is the machine behind the tractor in the picture! ; > ) It is basically a self propelled swather header with a hitch and frame with tires to pull it behind a tractor. Where the hitch beam connects to the machine there is a pivot that has a hydraulic cylinder that will swing the header either left or right. This way you can drive beside a crop on either side and swath it without driving in the standing crop. and at the end of the field you can turn around, swing the head to the opposite side and cut crop along where you had just laid crop down. A hydraulic pump that mounted on the PTO drove the machine. I may be wrong but I think Hesston was the first builder of the Hydra-swing style of swather.
