Another good source of potassium is V8 juice with 15% your daily need in 12 oz can. I can never find the pickle juice in the refrigerator in the middle of the night so I started keeping V8 handy. With a bad leg cramp, I can guzzle a can in about 30 seconds and the cramp will subside in about two minutes. I have drank two cans when I had a cramp in both legs and again they shortly let go.
