It is really not difficult or expensive. For what you want a $25 waterproof camera will show the car behind you. Unless you plan to move it every day, you will need a waterproof monitor on any open station tractor and that IS expensive..about $150.
By far the easiest is a camera system where one wire powers both the camera and monitor. They are readily available but will require routing the camera and wire from the tractor to the honey wagon every time...lots of work.
Could you mount the camera high up on the romps..up high enough..to look over the top of the trailer to see cars behind? That seems the easiest and would cost less than $100. Easiest power source is new battery cables with a built in power jumper wire, add an in-line of/off switch and you are done.
