Only problem with rigid mounted front blades is they don't float over uneven ground. A tree trimmer put a landscape rake on his bobcat. Didn't like it. Tore up the grass. My homemade forks aren't ridge.

A ridge mounted blade will cause a problem if one wheel drops on a pothole.
