I will agree. In wagons and trailers Metal or wood, there are stringers running front to back, and juniors cross ways usually 24 centers. the juniors are the side to side strength. I also agree the stringers as shown need to be either blocked straight, or bolted to the bolster uprights. We also used 2X4 top side rails flat, to provide anti slip sideways, and cant the first bale layer up on the outside edge for a stable stack. We also used a rear standard to stack against to limit rear fall off. Reality is often demanding. Jim
