I've had that ringing sound in my ears for at least 25 years. Five years ago I bought hearing aids. They did not help, so I tried a different brand. I tried several other brands with no improvement, so I took them back and gave up. Recently, I went to Costco and bought a pair because I heard how good they are. They have a lot of good features, but they don't seem to help me hear. The ringing in my right ear overrides whatever sounds it encounters.
