Got a NH 417. This hay season gone the front short shaft spun inside the tube while baling so was forced to replace it. This had already been changed from the rectangular original NH setup to the more generic triangular PTO tubing. If you don't want break downs do it in the off season and do the universal joints and replace the guards. I am good at spending your money, just depends on how reliable you want your baler? I went to replace the NH rectangular shaft on a 1038 stackliner and couldn't get the rectangular tubing so it got changed to the triangular type.
