I have a lot of mulberries and mine also had a bumper crop this year after having a complete crop failure last year! Last year was the only time I'd seen them fail. Because of the bumper crop this year I also had a limb break off on one tree, not as big as yours, but broke clean off.
I like to eat them and usually have some every morning when I'm out making the rounds. Last week I had a neighbor bring several of her grandchildren over and I took them for a ride around the hay field in trailer and then parked it under a mulberry tree at the end. There were a lot of purple lips and smeared faces after a few minutes.
