When I was finishing baling a field last week with my 855 NH, there was a clanging banging noise when I closed the tailgate. Couldn't see anything wrong, last 6 bales sometimes would do it, sometimes not.
Prepping the baler yesterday, opened and closed the gate several times, no banging, said ok, whatever.
Went to bale yesterday, bang clang, thought I'd check the adjustment on the chains, even though I'd done it this spring . Opened the tailgate and I find this hitch pin laying on the ground behind the baler.
Only place I can figure it was hidden is behind the idler shaft on the tailgate. Had to have picked it up a week ago.
