My least favorite thing to do? The list could be lengthy!
Aside from personal matters, divorce, colonoscopy, jail (not there yet), dental work, grown kids that fail to launch, incompetent professionals, corrupt politicians...
Limiting to mechanical choices, it's the mystery problem! Something that defies all logical deductions, yet persists, or worse is so intermittent it can't be caught in the act.
Then there are computer problems! Be it a problem with the home computer, something a complete illiterate like me can't find, or a computer controlled component that I don't have the proper equipment or ability to repair, then take it to someone that says they can, only to be charged an outrageous fee to find out they can't fix it either!
I don't mind getting dirty as long as I can see a solution.
