I believe fuel blends vary over the nation. I know there are a lot of guys that use ethanol bearing fuels and never, ever have an issue. In my area, E10 in a small engine, especially a 2 stroke, not used within 3 weeks to a month is CERTAIN to give issues. 100%, absolute guarantee! Take something older, say 15-20 years, and the issue can be in as few as a week or 10 days. I've got 4 saws in my shop right now that are undergoing repairs related to E-10 use. I have personally seen older fuel systems from the 50's and 60's in 4 stroke gas engines, tractors and trucks, have major issues with fuel delivery using E-10. Rebuild the carb, replace the fuel lines and filters with modern components and then it's okay, but the old stuff doesn't seem to hold up. But again, that's with the fuel I get locally. It may be different elsewhere.
