I had a '79 Cummins Big Cam 400 in an International cab over rock bucket, 15 speed Rooster. Nice reliable engne. I'd load up with a quart of ATF and 100 gallons of diesel every morning and that was back when diesel was a buck a gallon. When it went up to a dollar and a dime, I got hacked because somebody reached in my pocket and pulled out a ten dollar bill and I got nothing in return. The bunk (only) was neat as I'd eat lunch, crawl back into the bunk just behind the seat, full belly, AC running cool, engine rocking me to sleep....life was good.....
I just had to get that out of my system. When I was a kid, I was an urbanite but on the edge of a small town and there was always a sand pile somewhere for me to play in with my trucks....many hours of great sport I had in those piles......and having to clean up to suit mom so that she would let me back in the house afterwards was just a tolerable necessity.
