There is a big time excavating contractor here that paints the roof white on every piece of equipment they own. Probably over 150 units now. Mostly because it helps keep the black cabs cooler but it's also clear who's equipment is out there working. I've been told it makes a huge difference, especially when the ac starts to struggle.
I can tell you that tinting the windows will make an enormous difference. The company I work for has all brown equipment. 100% working AC will barely keep up in 95 degree weather. Throw on 5% tint on everything but the windshield and it's night and day difference. Now, if you're working at night however the tint reflects any interior light terribly. Something to think about.
