Take a GOOD flashlight and look down through the fill hole and see what you are up against, meaning how much crud is in there around the outlet hole. If there is quite a bit of gas in it go to a hardware store and get a nice flexible hose that you can hold up against the outlet to direct it in a bucket(s). The bottom hole is 3/8 female pipe. Probably want some latex gloves To do this. If the gas does not have a lot of floating debris in it you can just let settle half a day, strain it through a cloth and use it.
