I never said that I would not go! I only told him that this breaks our agreement, and as such would be my last run for him.
The agreement we had was something we had talked over and agreed upon some time previous to this. I got tired of running the road after 15 years of mostly OTR. I offered him fair notice to find a replacement if he was not able to get me home every night. No hard feelings on either end.
Also, since you seem to be so critical, be advised that in south eastern Pennsylvania, there is an amazing amount of local work that would not even require a logbook. If you stick a pin into Allentown, PA and draw a 100 air miles (nautical miles by the way) circle around it, you will find New York City, the entire states of New Jersey and Delaware, Baltimore, and all of the little whistle stop places in between. There is enough LOCAL work there to keep entire fleets busy.
One more comment I will make. My boss is only my boss for AS LONG AS I ALLOW IT. So, geez yourself!
