This is an interesting discussion on American work habits. My 99 year old father spent 2 1/2 years of his life away from his family and home for the good of the nation. He slept in the nasty bottoms of refitted cargo ships for a hundred days, then in bug infested tents in the south pacific islands, often under enemy fire, to establish our freedoms. Yes you can refuse to spend a night out of your comfortable bed, but I doubt that that is why he gave up 2 and 1/2 years of his life for your freedoms.
