Doncaster UK built IH Super BWD6 tractor built from 1953 to 1958 when it was replaced by the B450. Basicly a W6 tractor with a Super WD6 engine with UK designed glow-plug starting system witch needed one minute of heat on a cold winters day then they would start firing on one cylinder then in the next five minutes pick up on all four cylinders. It also needed the same treatment on a warm summers day hence the large battery box for the two 6 volt batteries. Also note the CAV injection pump with the mechanical govenors. From the clutch housing backwards it is the same as the US built tractors with all the parts and castings made in the Doncaster works.Same PTO as the US built tractors and an engine mounted hydraulic pump operating a very crude 3 point lift system. The Farmall Super BMD was made at Doncaster at the same time and it was also replaced by the Farmall B450 at the same time.
