I have been working on a 1974 I.H. 239 diesel engine. I need to buy some fuel injectors and fuel injector sleeves. the reason is clear to me because they where pitted really bad and where very hard to get out of the head. I have found out that the book in All state tractors are confusing because the number on my Bosch Injectors do not match up with the ones in the book for sale. when buying a fuel injector are they all put together as one full unit OR do they come in parts of they BOSCH injector unit. Which means what I am asking is When ordering these injectors do I have to buy them all in separate parts. Yes that is right my first diesel tear down on a tractor for the 15 years I have done nothing but gasoline tractors. I had finally step up to a diesel tractor. I thought I needed to grow up to the big boy spot and see what all they talk was about. Sad to say the only tractor I could buy had a thrown rod in the engine. Which meant I had to tear it down find another block and do a complete rebuild to it. thanks for your notes and thoughts on this post.
