I am sorry John, I neglected to mention that the day I took the contract, the price of gas or diesel was .04 cents per litre less than my contract. So ineffect, I have to pay up front .04 cents per litre on the 2,500 litres of gas. Therefore it cost me $100.00 to do the booking. So the day I took the contract gas was $1.19 per litre, this was in March. My contract runs from April 1-September 30. So for me to win on this deal, the price has to go up more than .04 cents above the price the day I booked the contract. Most years during the summer months gas and diesel have always gone up .10-.20 cents per litre. Gas has already gone up enough that I am ahead so far. If gas were to drop to say $1.00 per litre, then I get the gas at the $1.00 price, but I am still on the hook for the .04 cents booking fees. Understand?
