a complete rebuild is at hand split the tractor at the rear of the transmission to access the drive,, I highly recommend you buying the factory FORD service manual and following all steps,, do a through inspection of all parts, replace all sealing items, they work great when all parts are in correct specifications,, I have seen more than one need parts where sealing rings run on Ford units,, i also do a hyd pump flow test as low output can cause pto problems, you already have plenty about grabbing the shaft,, but I will add a 2x4 wedged against it is for sure a safer practice than doing it by hand,,
