My first tractor was included in the purchase of my dad's farm and equipment in 1981.It's a 1973 JD 2120, he bought new for 6000, and that's what I paid for it. Farm Credit loan on the land was 16 percent, demand loan for the rest was even more. Still have it, bought and sold over a dozen tractors, mostly older ones, the only new one was the JD 2955 bought in 1992 for 40k cash with help from my wife's severance pay from her job. Still have it and the wife, love them both, but the tractor less so!
