About 1976 I was looking for a Case VAC, there was one in a yard I asked about, but it was not for sale. But they did have a 1938 Allis Chalmes WC abandoned back in the swamp. I got my brother-in law to tow it home for me. I paid forty dollars for it and spent many times that getting it going. I kept it and used it for about 35 years, always an easy starting tractor.
