Went on Friday to pick up a Ford 841. Guy wouldn't take less than $800. I asked if we crank it up and drive it on trailer is it still $800? He laughed and said yes. So we tried. Got it to run a few seconds a couple times. Gave up and winched it on. Got it home and wife cleaned carb while I cleaned and gapped plugs and points. Still couldn't get it to stay running. Tried plug wires in every possible position. Then loosen the distributor and turned it 3/4 of an inch. Fired it right up. Found out real quick the water pump is shot and fan in fixin' to come off! Preacher said fix it and paint it. He will pay us. I don't think it's every been cleaned. Who knows may be original red under there! 😂
