Richard G. When we bought our place it had a 24x24peg barn here. We used that barn to store hay, to lamb our ewes and for inside storage. By the time I could have been able to afford to restore the barn (maybe) the limestone foundation was not visible on two sides. The hayloft floor had rotted away in a couple places even tho I had put metal on the roof. By a very loose and not inflated estimate it would have needed 20,000$. for a building I was never gonna stack hay in again ever, not large enough for even my older smaller tractors. I was sorry it had to go but it did not fall down. I made a deal with a gentleman who was repurposing barn beams and wood for his own family lodge. I got something done I needed and he dismantled and hauled away the barn. But if I would of had unlimited funds, I would have created a Barn Guesthouse. but that was just a poor boys dream. gobble
