By heat, humidity and steam did you mean a repair was necessary? For me, I'm not willing to pay the big bucks for newer vehicles. As long as my truck is dependable and does what I need it to do when I need it to do it, I'll keep my money in my pocket. I would much rather spend the money on a repair and know what I've got than buy a newer used. Totally unwilling to pay the insane cost of new. FYI - I drive a 1997 Ford F-350 crew cab with the 7.3 diesel. Even when the engine eventually gives it up, I'll probably have it rebuilt rather than spending tens of thousands on a newer one, especially since the body of my truck is still in very good shape, like yours.
