Am I the only guy to have started my driving life with an IH truck? I learned on a KB 6 in the north woods, but bought my first IH 1963 model 1100 (1/2 ton) in 1968 (304 V-8, 4 speed floor stick), drove it up the Alcan hwy and back, then it became my carpentry truck. Body died at about 300K so engine and tranny went into another. Second truck was a 1968 IH 1200 (3/4 ton) with 304 and 4 speed. Bought a few more IH P.U.s until the last one 1975 392/auto 4X4, last year IH built PUs. They were darn tough trucks, but a better ride than the similar Dodges.
