If you need it for tires and parts $900 is fair price. If you are planning an engine rebuild, you may have more money in the rebuild than you can sell it for and make an easy buck. If you need the tractor that is another story.
Years ago I bought a Jublee and paid the guy what he had invested in the rebuild, new tires and other repairs. $5k I also got a 6 ft woods finish mower. I know $5k was above retail but I wanted a good tractor. Still a good tractor. It's semi retired after buying a Kubota.
Same with my Farmall C. Bought it with a rebuilt engine. The seller got hosed. I got it for $1.5k.
It's your money. You should know more than most on YT if you can repair it, flip it, add lipstick, and make a buck.
