Lake Winnebago is only 21 feet deep at its deepest point. These guys know every inch of that lake even though it about 133000 acres in size. They use their favorite lure to attract the fish to the hole. Probably some brightly colored or shiny object on a string. When the sturgeon gets right under the hole they spear it. The spear will be a locally designed thing. To each his own. There's not enough demand for sturgeon spears for Bass World to bother with. When the spear sinks in, the shaft breaks away. There's a line attached to the spear that will enable the fisherman to haul the sturgeon in after a darned good fight. Even the small ones weigh 80 lbs. Most are above 100 lbs. Some up close to 200 but not many.
