Jerry Apps is a retired Ag Professor at Univ of Wis who grew up on a family farm in Waushara County during the depression. He has written a series of books describing life as he was growing up. Very easy to read books and many of you will identify with him right away. He has had a series of programs on Wis Public Radio and also on NPR. His books are available to purchase, are all paperback so not expensive. I have all of them in my collection, I believe 10 or so.
