I don't remember which magazine used to test them and published the results, but I remember Allis had a few that were the quietest. Ford did too as did IH once the got the 86 series. Case and JD had some models most years that were quietest. I don't remember Massey or white being the quietest for any models. What always surprised me was how models varied even in the same brand. I remember the case 2290 being quietest but the 2390 was almost the loudest the same year. Since the cab and engine are so similar I thought that was suspicious. The same happened with other brands too.
