The farm I'm on has been in the family since before the Civil War,have some records, papers, pictures etc. Things like the papers and letters my grandfather wrote when making a deal for a purebred Boar hog back in 1923.My grandmother was born in 1902 she lived with us until she died in 1996,told me a great number of stories over the years about how things were done when she was growing up as well as stories her parents and grandparents told her dating back to the Civil War.
