Great picture! Pretty common to see Bald Eagles around here, but I have not seen one getting challenged by a four legged critter over a meal. Have on occasion seen hawks, vultures, and Bald Eagles circle around and scrap with each other over road kill deer, but in the end the eagles always end up with the prize.
Just curious, is that a wolf in the picture? Looks like a coyote to me. Not too many wolves in the Midwest.
