Weight has been an issue. I was at an air show in the 1980s. There was a yellow and white Cessna 172 with a "Powered by CAT" factory emblem on the crowling of the engine. I wanted in the worst way to open the crowling to look at the engine but did not want to mess with someone else�s plane. Just then a pilot I knew walked by and said "That got me too" and walked away.
