Presently have two carrhart coats, the heavier version with the hood. One I have had for over 10 years and worn daily in the winter. It is so worn out both sleeve cuffs are just plum ragged, but the rest of the coat is still pretty good, the zipper still works like new and the longer you wear them the more comfortable they get. The second is about 5 years old and only gets worn when going to town or an auction or such but it still isn't "worn in" and is kinda stiff and bulky. I tried a Bern once and it didn't last long and the zipper broke. Also have the carrhart insulated overalls which I like. About work jeans; I only buy wrangler boot cut as they fit great, wear good and only cost about 1/3 what levis and some others. Everyone has their preferences.
