If you're going to be loading in mud all the time the tall skinny tire will work better as it will roll easier and cut through the mud better. If you working on hard surface more of the time then the wider tire will carry more weight. I like the 16 inch pickup tires for the weight carrying capacity and getting around. Yup they will slide sometimes on slippery ground and so will your ribbed tires. We've been using truck tires for 30 years or more. Use them on most of the front tractor tires.
