Thanks for the replies. Guess I will wait and see if it pans out for him. Hoping he will be satisfied with my scoped Remington 1100 shotgun. I really don't want to let him take my Savage 99 - I use that now that NY approved rifle hunting. Funny - he wanted to go out with me when he was little, so I took him up back.
