Were it me, I'd look at the welder I had and see if I couldn't do more cooling on it. I've seen 100% duty cycle type welders at a local plant and you're talking a water cooled machine costing tens of thousands of $$$$. Maybe take what you've got, pull the cabinet off it, clean it out real good, lube the fan and see if there's a way to safely increase cooling. Maybe additional venting and some forced air from something like a carpet drier or the exhaust from a shop vac. If you're melting ground cables, you need bigger cables!
