The medical community believes that if all men lived to be 100 years old, that all of them will have some level of prostate cancer. That 40% of forty year old men have PC, and 60% of 60 year old men have PC. Looking back, I could see symptoms starting about 7 years ago,but I did not know what was the cause. My urologist suggested surgery first, because when the radiation fails to kill all the cancer, then he has to attempt surgery and the tissues in that area have been compromised, and that makes the end result less favorable. My point of view is that this is just another part of life. Make the most of it.
